Dr. Mauriello received a Ph.D. in history from Brown University.
He specializes in nineteenth and twentieth century European history. He is currently a Professor of History and Chair of History Department at Salem State University, Salem, MA.
He has published articles in the field of European history and presented numerous papers at professional conferences. He has also published articles on the role of technology in society, culture and education.
He is currently working on a book about contemporary culture and the Nazi past.
Mr. Regan holds an A.B. degree from Boston College, a Master's degree from Harvard University, and both an MBA and Juris Doctorate degrees from Suffolk University.
Roland had served for eighteen years as CEO & President of the National Childhood Obesity Foundation, Inc.®.(N.C.O.F.®) in Marblehead, MA. Early in the Foundation’s existence Roland and Robert W. Mullaly, Ph.D. (N.C.O.F.® Board of Trustees Chairperson) were interviewed on WBCN 104.1 FM in Boston on “Boston Sunday Review” about the Foundation’s purpose and efforts to stem the alarming incidence and growing epidemic of childhood obesity. During Roland’s tenure at N.C.O.F.®, the Foundation conducted multiple N.C.O.F.®-Playdates in CA and TX raising awareness of healthy nutrition and physical activities for children at the earliest ages to reduce the incidence of childhood obesity for parents and care-givers of young children.
Earlier, he was a Principal with the international management consulting firm NAGW/Promonde, Inc. in Boston, MA. During this period, he co-hosted a radio sports talk show on WBPS 890-AM in Boston and interviewed both sports and non-sports celebrities including Davey Jones of “The Monkees”, Dick Regan “COO of NFL-Europe”, Mike Krzyzewski “HC of the Duke University Blue Devils”, David Downs “VP of Sports Programming at ABC Sports”, and many other notables.
Even earlier, Roland worked as a Senior Associate with the global management consulting and executive training firm of Harbridge House, Inc. in Boston, MA. During this period, he had several uncredited performances in the detective TV series “Spenser for Hire” in episodes “Arthur’s Wake”, “Sleepless Dream” and “Thanksgiving” all filmed in-and-around Boston, and in several regional commercials for “VT Federal Bank”, “Furniture Mart” and “Gaynes Department stores”.
He had earlier served as an Assistant District Attorney for Essex County in Massachusetts after having served nearly five years as an U.S. Air Force officer with the NATO AWACS program attaining the rank of Captain.
Roland has taught and co-taught international marketing, business law, and the business of sport courses as an adjunct professor at Harvard University-Extension School, Bentley University, Salem State University, and the University of Vermont.
